Champions of the
Vintage Trade
The True Vintage Association was founded in the United Kingdom with one ambition: to create the definitive home for people who sell, collect and celebrate vintage, second-hand and retro goods.
Started at a Market Stall. Built for the World.
The idea for the True Vintage Association grew out of a simple frustration: there was no single home for vintage sellers. No community that understood the difference between genuine vintage and fast-fashion retro. No association that championed the trader selling from a stall at a country fair and the one running a curated online boutique.
We built the TVA to change that. Starting in the UK — where vintage culture runs deep, from jumble sales to Portobello Road — we created a membership community that respects the history of the trade while embracing the modern way it's done.
Today, our members span the globe. They sell true vintage couture, 1990s deadstock, mid-century furniture, vinyl records, reworked denim, and handpicked curiosities. What unites them is a shared belief: that the things of the past deserve a future.
“The things of the past deserve a future. And the people selling them deserve a community that truly understands the trade.”

Our Values
Genuine Vintage First
We believe in the primacy of true vintage — items with provenance, history and character. But we warmly welcome retro, revival and reworked sellers who share those values.
Seller-Led Community
Founded by sellers, for sellers. Every feature, resource and event is designed around the real challenges of running a vintage business — from sourcing to selling.
International Roots
Born in the UK with the spirit of a British market town, but built for a global community. Our members trade from London to Los Angeles, Edinburgh to Amsterdam.
Quality Over Quantity
We are not a mass marketplace. We are a curated association — a place where quality, craft and respect for the past set the standard.

The TVA is open to anyone who sells, collects or trades in the past — as long as they do so with integrity and care.
